Small Town Adventures

Living in a small town often calls for making simple experiences an adventure. It was a Monday afternoon and a week before a long break so let’s the just say, I had little motivation to do any homework. So instead of staring at my computer for hours, I picked up my friend and headed to Lima for an adventure. Lima is about a a half-hour away from Ohio Northern, so we had plenty of time to decide what we wanted to do once we got there.

We thought about walking through the mall, but then scratched that idea because it’s not the safest place to hang out and there really isn’t much left to do there. So, then we thought about going to Hobby Lobby, however that was last week’s adventure, so we scratched that idea too. We then came up with the idea to do to Dash and Joey’s. Dash and Joeys makes smoothies and smoothie bowls and they are quite delicious. So, we couldn’t help but go there. I got the Old School Smoothie, which is made of apple, peanut butter, honey, vanilla, granola, cinnamon and almond milk. It was my first time getting that smoothie, but I will definitely be going back for it again.

We didn’t want our adventure to end after we got smoothies, so we headed back toward the stores and stopped at TJ Maxx. You will never know what you will find at TX Maxx and that is all part of the adventure. After walking around for a little bit we decided to get nail polish. It was a color I had never seen before so I couldn’t help but get it. We headed back to Ohio Northern, painted our nails then called it a night. Although it was just a Monday night and a trip to Lima it was a good reminder that sometimes some of the simplest things in life end up becoming the most fun.
