The Revamp

I’m sure you have noticed; the last couple of weeks have been a bit of a roller coaster. To recap a little, I have changed my major, dropped a class, launched my business idea, helped my family prepare to welcome foster children into our home and most recently revamped my business idea. I could write a blog about each of those things, but today is all about my new and improved business idea. So, let’s dive in!

When I first launched my business a couple of weeks ago, I created an Instagram account called “Boho Media Co.” There wasn’t much meaning behind the name, besides I like the boho style and I am interested in helping businesses elevate their social media. Although I am intrigued by insights and creating social media strategies, I didn’t want to limit myself to social media. So, I decided to scratch that business name and create a new one. My new business name is “Market and Main.” Although there still isn’t profound meaning behind it, it is more fitting for a creative marketing agency which is my end goal after graduation.

I am still figuring out what direction I want to take my business while in college, but I think that is something that time will tell. I took a couple of weeks off posting as I thought about my new business name and created a new content schedule. When I first launched the Instagram account, my goal was to post daily. Let’s just say that is no longer my goal. I had no idea how hard it was to post quality content that often. My goal now is to post three times a week and film a couple reels to help spread brand awareness.

Regardless of my business name and content strategy, I know there are going to be ups and downs. There are going to be times this seems like a great idea and other times that I question why I didn’t just wait until I graduated to launch a business. I often overwhelm myself thinking about the possible options, but then I stop remember I will either succeed or learn and both are important. I am excited to see where these new changes lead and will be sure to keep you updated along the way.
